Agapi Kazamia

Yoga teacher

What were you like as a Yoga-beginner and any advice for a new Student?

Coming from competitive sport, I was used to physical exercise without having to think of the weather. The same way, I started my Yoga Practice, very much focused on my physical strength. Only after a few years of regular Yoga Practice, and with the guidance of different teachers, I became aware of the body sensitivity and the effect of a peaceful mind.

So, my advice to new Students is, to leave every created opinion behind and start Yoga with a fresh and open mind, receiving everything and holding on to what serves you the best. Shift the focus of your practice inwards to enjoy selflove and to become more aware of your capabilities.

What inspires you to teach?

To keep learning and educating myself. The ability to shift energies and see the difference before and after a class.

What are you known for in your Yoga classes?

Grab your mat and make your own opinion. 😊

How do you clear out stress?

I don’t have the perfect formula yet. What really helps me is to talk to people that I love and if that is not possible, I tell myself that this is only a feeling, it is not me and it will pass again. I also use this technique for physical or emotional pain.

What would you do if you had super-powers?

I would guide people to their own super power.

What does ‘Living Yoga’ mean to you?

For the Studio: A place of comfort, relaxation and inner growth.

In general: Loving actions towards others and yourself.
